Mihn Club

We designed and fabricated custom light features to blend in with the minimalist interior, enabling the space to continue its use as both a nightclub and art gallery. Slim led panels diffused with reclaimed collimating acrylic panels are mounted in the entrance, ceiling and walls with the dance floor, flanked by retrofitted explosion-proof emergency light fixtures. The system is controlled by a customised Max/MSP patch, which generates evolving patterns across 30+ pre-programmed cues. The software allows the user to create new cues, trigger cues and schedule cues to change over a period of time, allowing for flexibility to control the system actively or more hands off.
